The I16 was a modern and surprising maniable flighter in 1934, the 109 came only in service in 1937, but the I16 was not so easy as you think to shot down, some 109 was shot down from them...First 109 shot down by a I16 was from the American Franck Tinker during Spain civil war

  • What a ugly piece of russian crap. A good prey for the 109`s.

  • The Polikarpov I-16 was a fine airplane for its time. Held up well during difficult circumstances.

  • Wonderful, evocative footage of the original air combat fighter.

The legendary Polikarpov P-16 Nearly Stopped the depraved Nazi / Fascist Thugs who eventually terrorised their way upon Spain in the 1930's.
