@kodiak7 There may have been apartheid, that I accept. But one thing is for certain. The All Blacks and Springboks will always be the biggest clash in rugby. No matter how long SA was away from the international arena. The Wallabies were just the only competitive team in the Southern H during those years. I guess if you were to ask any All Black player they would say SA is a much bigger game, historically and today.

@KRKbert just look at the history. The Springboks have been far more competitive and consistent against the ABs and if it wasn't for the apartheid boycott era it would still be. The Wallabies took South Africa's place purely based on absence.

This haka is commonly said to have been composed by Te Rauparaha of Ngāti Toa to commemorate his escape from death during an incident in 1810. Chased by his enemies he hid in a food-storage pit under the skirt of a woman. He climbed out to find someone standing over him, who, instead of killing Te Rauparaha, turned out to be another chief friendly to him. In relief Te Rauparaha performed this ancient haka, which had been performed all through Aotearoa for centuries (Ko Nga Moteatea, 1853)."
The(almost)all-conquering All Blacks first did this traditional Maori war dance to celebrate NZ's cultural roots. The Welsh were the first to respond with the crowd singing their national anthem.Since then it has become standard practice for both countries to sing their respective national anthems before ANY INTERNATIONAL SPORTING MATCH IN ANY SPORT.We honour our traditions. And NZ has had by far the best rugby team for over 100years.That is not a "choke".
