A song from the garage...of our hearts. A wise man once said, "just cuz you're in the garage, don't make you no car"! Be authentic. That's what we'ere striving for here and always. We actually did this in the garage with no plug-ins. Really fun. Some of our equipment is a wreck, so we improvised. So, here's our band website http://basicband.biz/fr_basicmusicroom.cfm, and, yes here's the good stuff about this video and song. Read it while you watch and listen and then just watch and listen! PIMP LOL. So, our last vid/song were done "live" instead of studio recording and we're trying to creatively put ourselves into the vids a bit more but still let our Main Focus be shown. This one is stripped bare. Taking a small break from recording some more of our originals for our next album for a few days to just do a couple covers, so we did an unplugged version of one of our most beloved songs and artists. I'm used to having a mic and cord or at least a rose to balance out my arms and body. Hard to stay still when I sing! We just used my lil' Kodak Z760 camera to record video and audio sitting on a ladder for lack of a tripod or 3rd person. Oh! And, it's just Sam on my Ovation guitar coming up with a mandolin sound (he wouldn't let me put the video on him) and me on vocals for this one, unplugged. But, I guess you can hear and see that! PIMP LOL. Well, we did try to put him in it, but with the lil' camera for sound, his guitar was picking up too loud so he moved back. He is in the vid. He's the black shadow over to my upper left. You can see the neck of the guitar and hand. Looks mysterious to me. Yes! The lyrics are so cool and unique. Really speaks to me how he sees God. I love it. He's movin' across the water. I mean who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow (peace) or a bottle of rain? The Spirit of God! Oh, and one more note? We actually did it unplugged in our music room first where we have our studio, but I went out to the garage to get some laundry and I was singing and it sounded better. Acoustics you know! So we moved the jam session out there. I figure if the laundry can "hang out" there? So can we! Right? And besides? Some of my fav things are out there. Like my York, Pa. t-shirt and my fav flannel shirt and our PT Cruiser. PIMP LOL. Oh, and, the video? Wanted it to be mysterious...like the song. Yep! Somethin' different! The only thing that's plugged in? Are the lights! And our souls! Something else that you probably won't believe, but I never actually heard or knew that Rod Stewart even covered the song. I felt like the album "Showdown At Big Sky" was a breath of fresh air for the late 80's. So unique. Love Robbie's voice and style. One of my all-time fav albums. Check it out. I love doing the backup on "Somwhere Down That Crazy River"! Just sayin'! K...one last last last insight? I had no idea we were going to video us inthe garage with my lil' camera late at night and I never realized how fluroescent lghting looks on video. So, had to move 2 house lights out there to get a lil' light. Next time? Day singing!!!! We all need a lil' light! I got so into the song that I actually made a mistake on one word but recovered. If you find the mistake, you let me know and I will send you one of our album downloads...free. Tracy

Lyrics:

Broken Arrow

Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
Do you feel what I feel
Can we make that so it's part of the deal
I gotta hold you in these arms of steel
Lay your heart on the line... this time
I wanna breathe when you breathe
When you whisper like that hot summer breeze
Count the beads of sweat that cover me
Didn't you show me a sign, this time
Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
Can you see what I see
Can you cut behind the mystery
I will meet you by the witness tree
Leave the whole world behind
I want to come when you call
I'll get to you if I have to crawl
They can't hold me with these iron walls
We've got mountains to climb
Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
