Sara Hickman singing "Simply"

Sara Hickman is a singer/songwriter, and I'm a huge fan. We visited friends over Thanksgiving, and they got Sara to come to their house and give us a brief private concert, which was amazing! This clip is her singing "Simply", a beautiful love song.

The first part of her talking got cut off; sher is saying she wrote this song when she was 17 and had a crush on a boy. The actual song starts about 2 minutes in.

Many years ago, I captured this song on cassette, probably off of public radio. I've tried to play and sing it, but just don't have the pure vocals enough to do it justice. I hadn't really thought about it for years, and stumbled upon this little treasure. I feel like I just spent a little time hanging out with Sara in the living room. What a wonderful, warm, and personal oral history and presentation of this precious song.

@FrankAndNadine Same thing here, I had this on cassette years ago, always had the tune in the back of my mind as years passed but couldn't remember the artist or song name, just tonight it really bewildered me enough to go digging through old cassettes...I found the homemade tape with info intact - went straight to youtube and there it was after all those years of wondering, what a beautiful song and a beautiful story to go with it.

none of my friends is familiar with this song..years ago before cd's came out hehe jurassic tapes were abundant so i bought one containing various artists just so i could buy a cassete with the song Unchained Melody" with it (ghost Movie mania exGF luvs it) and this song was included...Ive always admired d song since that day. and d song became us...sad-happy memories...Sarah Hickman cool babe
