The Stench of Truth 245 The term Fort Hood-wink is taken from Michael Hoffman II in an interview he gave on the subject a few days ago. Afghanistan is more clearly paralleling Vietnam as time goes by. Obama dithers and attempts to appear contemplative and to be taking care to make the right decision, even as we already know what that will be. He doesn't fool me and he shouldn't fool you. The peace movement was co-opted then by cointelpro and the FBI, today it is co-opted by a President that disarms the opposition. LBJ faced the exact decision and he made the wrong choice as Obama is soon to do. The document I read is available here: http://viking.coe.uh.edu/~dweaver/portfolio/cuin6397/finalproject/protest.htm
We face the same challenges today and Obama has lied and said he supports peace but he does not. We need to rise up against this war mongering "pax americana" and reject our empire building. Now is the time for peace protesters to come out en masse.

  • Hey idiots! Newsflash! This guy has no idea what hes talking about.... this idiot sits comfortably in his home and talks like he knows whats going on in afghanistan. Afghanistan is not a total failure, look at Nawa district for example. I fought there, and in 7 months it went from taliban stronghold, to secure and free district.... this old, dumbass hippy guy, can go to hell. He knows about as much about afghanistan, as a virgin knows about sex. The 60's are over douchebag, give it up.

  • I think the term hippy had some good connotations so will thank you for that. I know enough to know that any progress there comes at too high a price and that the United States needs work before we should embroil ourselves in undeclared "wars".

  • good vid.. thanks..

why do we vote when what we vote for is not what we get.. apathetic, are the people of america and they do not care about the war because it isn't on tv.. they military does not have to courage to let the truth out like the vietnam days.. consequently the people back home could give a crap, their 401k's are recovering at the moment..

  • It is part of the problem to be sure.

  • thanks again my friend, you have a talent to not only enlighten, but to entertain,a very rare quality.

  • My thanks.

  • America will export Liberalism to Afghanistan. Afghani porn! Afghani girls wearing g-strings in secular public schools! Abortion! Sexual promiscuity! Homosexuality! TV and movies! Drug abuse!

America is bringing "Freedom (TM)" to Afghanistan!

  • Afghanistan was severely weakened by the Soviets. Also, it does not have a Superpower like China backing its military. Afghanistan has no military structure, for the most part. The Vietnam War/Afghanistan War comparison is weak. Not so say there isn't formidable opposition to the American occupation in Afghanistan.

  • Is Jame Gumb in the next room, stitching human skin together?

"It puts the lotion in the basket."

  • You are comparing "terrorists" with the Borg? They are incomparable. Terrorists are more like the Maquis. Based on that precipice, would the actions of the few (the Maqui) justify an attack and war with the whole (the Federation)? I think you can figure out wherein the analogy lies.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Peace.

  • @Kaz Good to see people know what my screen name is about :)

But your logic fails when it comes to its meaning or even the overall sense of those series. Was not war against klingons, borg, dominion, cardassian and others something necessary and unavoidable? also communication in all its glory, I support it, however it is hardly a lack of communication that lead to the wars, infact communication was quite clear, they want the west dead.

Also speaking of communication, you ignored my points

  • 4 steps to destroy a nation explained by a former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov in 1985.

    1.Demoralization

    2.Destabilization

    3.Crisis

    4.Normalization

    I think we're on step 3.

  • Darmokjaladtanagra, heh, your name is based upon the concept of communication. Quoting you from your discussion with kevin7lee -

"Creat Taliban? Are you that dumb?"

You have quite a way to go if you wish to appropriately reflect your YouTube screename. Further, if this is how you discuss things with people, I will not respond to your inquiries as to the substance and concepts contained within my original comment.

    Peace.
