This is the setup for Faraday cage tests I am doing to try and find a solution to the noise problems that existed at the 2010 Mech Warfare World Championship.
I am concerned if this is a reasonable scale model, mostly because the phone is only about 1 wavelength from the walls of the cage.
when using a "cage" (wire mesh) it works great for some frequencies, (you can tune the cage by using different mesh sizes) not sure how small the screen would need to be to block all the cell phone frequencies, but i do know soild sheet seem to do a realy good job of blocking everything, may want to try that, a soild box insuring all side are connected electricly to each other, and that it is grounded good. i bet you it will bolck it then even that close to the source. great video keep it up

@ZoranAUS really come on let look this up before saying stuff like that..... aluminum is more conductive both with heat and electricty then copper. We use copper in our home because 1. that short length of wire in our homes does not make a differance in conductivity, 2. aluminum expands a lot when heated compaired to copper causeing it to become disconected from its connection (wire nuts, srcew connection, crimp clamps) causeing shorts and fires. HV long line are aluminum tho (most times)

aluminum is fine, the problem is you are trying to block a frequency range far higher than you will find in a EMP a better test is with a AM radio the frequencys are closer

gold is best to bad the price is our of reach.
copper is cheap,..
Silver it better.

Try copper if possible, aluminium isn't exactly the best conductor... i think your results will be different.
