Nicolas Provost - Long Live the New Flesh - Trailer

Provost's 'Long Live the New Flesh', is a found footage horror film in which existing fragments from horror films are transmogrified into a new film.

Provost deploys a visual technique in which the images literally consume one other. The horror in all its visual power is brought to a natural boiling point and transcends into a new narrative and emotional dimension. Provost strips down the imagery of a mass medium, uses it to construct a new visual story beyond the dissection and horror and allows the viewer to cross every phase of the emotional spectrum.

J'suis allé voir votre court-métrage à la Cinémathèque québécoise et j'en suis resortie 2 minutes plus tard, parce que c'est agaçant ce faux effet d'image vidéo pixelisé comme si elle avait un mauvais transfert de "streaming". J'ai demandé la préposée à l'accueil pour savoir si l'image est authentique et l'on m'a dit que oui. J'imagine mal regarder cette vidéo durant 14 minutes. Décevant.
