Cover of Ocean Rain by Echo and the Bunnymen

Echo and the Bunnymen has been a big influence on my own music--maybe not so much the sound as the feeling. Ian McCulloch's singing is beautiful and I always wanted to be able to express myself like he does. And Pete de Freita's drumming subconsciously affected my style I think, too (as well as Remi from the Stone Roses!). I've loved this particular song ever since I bought the cassette back in '90 (incidentally the same year I started drumming) but have never tried playing it. I haven't caught them live, but seeing the video of them playing it back in the '80s on YouTube brought back so many memories and feelings. I know my attempt is a bit sloppy, but I just figured it out today!

i saw echo and the bunnymen tour 'ocean rain' in sf when i was a lil' teen back in the 80's..it was a seated venue and i remember being sooo moved when i heard this live even then!

what r u doing in japan? i have been there many times over the last 11 years with friends there along with a spiritual path...
