Note: I am NOT a speedrunner, so my videos are not perfect. I'm uploading these as a way of showing people the shortcuts and glitches that I have seen online and can prove whether or not they work on the PS2 version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary. They may work on other versions, they may not. I don't know, so please don't ask me about it.
Apologies about the video quality. I don't have a means of recording my console gaming except for taping off of the television with the digital camera.
A collection of small, useless glitches in the Obelisk of Khamoon.
1. During the ascent through the climbing room, there is actually more than one area where you can jump onto an invisible ledge next to a pillar. If you land here, it's possible to get back to safety, but don't count on it.
2. A simple boundary glitch. In the very first room with the Obelisk, jump down into the water, and when you pull yourself up into the hall with the smashing walls, make sure Lara is as far to the right as possible. When she pulls herself up, holding X to make her do the hair flip isn't always necessary, but in the PS2 version, it really helps with embedding Lara into objects. If done correctly, she'll embed into the wall and you can move off to the right and land her in the water outside of the level boundary. You have VERY little room to move around here, so it may take a few tries to get her out of bounds without dropping her into the abyss. Once she drops into the abyss, there's nothing you can do but quit the level.
3. At the ladder before re-entering into the Temple of Khamoon, there is a medipak sitting on the ground. Jump into the water and swim down a ways. Turn towards the platform with the medipak and you should get the pick-up symbol. You can collect the medipak from underwater. I guess Lara used her telekinesis?
4. This may be a random glitch, but I've only ever had it happen after utilizing this shortcut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrI1i4ij9Zw Sometimes, the blades will be completely silent when you enter that hallway. They only started making noise again after I pulled the switch on the opposite end. Weird.
5. You must be using the Infinite Health cheat for this to work. It seems like the smashing wall traps get pretty pissed off when they can't kill Lara. They go into a hyper smashing mode if you continue to stand between them. This works with any set of the traps.
Good luck.
nice! :D
