Mr. Chuang wants green media to stop saying "mainland"

A Mr. Chuang from Taichung called in to the political talk show New Taiwan Go Go Go (新台灣加油) on June 13, 2009 to express his dismay at so-called "green" (Taiwan-centric) media using the term "mainland" (大陸) when they mean "China."
The term is appropriate in Hong Kong or Macau, because they are both part of China. But when the mainland-island dichotomy is applied to Taiwan, it is wrong.
Why, then, do people do it? The Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) has brainwashed people with this idea that "my country" (我國) -- by which they mean the ROC -- includes all of what is now the PRC, plus Tibet and even Outer Mongolia. They crazily think that this "ROC" includes Taiwan, too.
Main point: Don't say "mainland" when you mean "China."
