Recently there was a "forum" in which corporations and governments got together to discuss how they were going to control the internet.
For some reason they invited John Perry Barlow - who represents "we the people" far more than our elected leaders... this is a video of what he had to say.
Pardon the quality - the source was pretty ropey... I made it ropier, but it's the substance that is important here.

Yup, sure did.
Here in NZ, anti-internet, 3-strikes legislation was passed as part of "emergency earthquake" legislation and the ONLY point of view we heard was the industry line. Similar in the UK... legislation snuck in about 4 hours before parliament was due to close... pre-election.
Every time I play a DVD I get their-unfast-forwardable lies , and now an US company is paying for NZ school kids to be propagandized
I have no interest whatever in being their echo-chamber
