  • Have you thought about using compressed earth blocks?

  • Saw this video when it came out. Great job, sorry to push, but have you been working on the Part 2 video of the root cellar addition?

  • Great video. Also thanks for think of the people here in Alabama and mentioning the relief effort. The folks who were effected by that storm are still working to recover. Our beloved GOVERNMENT pulled almost all of help when the hurricane came through the east coast recently. Leaving those that still had not gotten help with nothing. Hopefully they will come through in the end for them.

Again great video. and keep us posted with videos as to your work on this project.

  • @engineer775, do you have any idea what it would cost to have someone build a root cellar like this? I have been doing a lot of research on various options for long-term food storage, and this seems like the most cost-effective. My property is in the south where the water table is too high for a basement, and the humidity is always high. Obviously I'm concerned about moisture degrading the food.

  • Think you could put a pitcher pump in the "front room", idk if your water table is high enough just a thought ..

  • thanks brother, this is where im at right now looking forward to the next video

  • appreciate your videos very much. you and southern prepper1, eastcoastprepper, brooklynprepper and others gives me such a sense of extended family with a base and purpose of living. blessings to you and yours. thank you. long island prepper

  • So if a tree fell in front of your door since it open out, do you have another exit?

  • Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate it very much. The little towns and counties get pushed to the side in these disasters and I am going to keep this going to help them out. Thank you for the support!!

  • How many acres are you on and were the trees there or did you plant them? Love the vids!
