Well the apple os, is basicaly almost linux, almostt but i lovee linux =], you get the robustness of the apple os (cus no one writes viruses for apple or linux), and the ease of use of a windows machine, and you dont have to worry about games not working and blahh blahh blahhh so technacly linux > than mac os =]

@Izthrower -- same here with Ruby and any UNIXoid system (OS X since 2002).
If it wasn't for the stable mobile device drivers, perfect power mgmt, fonts, font rendering, New Oxford Dictionary etc., I'd run Linux on my Macs. I've earned most of my living with Linux server systems (SuSE mostly), but I have yet to cut loose from Apple. Damn you, Apple! (-:

Agreed, this is how it goes, Windows XP = Awsome but outdated, Windows Vista = the basterd child of the Windows OS, Windows 7 = Decent but could use more work, Thats why i run linux =] and plus its a hell of a lot easier to program in python using linux lol

Damn your little-endian logic, Izthrower! Oh wait -- my newest Mac is little-endian as well. Curse you, Apple and Intel!
(Really, I was one of those hardliners who didn't want the PowerPC line of Macs to die, because as an 68k veteran I'm still used to big-endian hex dumps. I now have to concede that AMD and Intel chips are fine as well. As long as they're running Linux/*BSD/Darwin/ and don't have letters for mount points: C:, D:,... :-)
