Batman - Exploding Man

Probably the most famous scene from the classic campy Batman movie (1966) starring Adam West is the "Exploding Shark" (as a result of the Shark Repellent Bat-Spray"!!!) - however not many people remember another equally absurd scene (among many others) , the Exploding Man.

The sea is not a safe place in the Batman universe.

It was an exploding octopus planted by the Penguin, the trap (aided by the Joker's jack-in-the-box) was awaiting Batman for when he would come to rescue Bruce Wayne from those abominable outlaws/fiendish criminals. Alas, when Batman (for some reason) never showed up, Bruce Wayne pushed one of the United Underworld's henchmen into the trap instead. Poetic justice perhaps.
