In this video you'll see a new feature we've added to CS4 that allows you to import FCP projects into Premiere Pro CS4. This feature is part of the 4.01 update. EVEN WINDOWS users can now import FCP projects. This is the perfect solution for 3D users that use 3D Studio Max, Maya, Maxon Cinema 4D (my favorite) that nned to import Mac FCP projects for a complete workflow. Other new features like OMF export and enhanced AAF are also part of our 4.01 update.

  • does this work if i save the fcp file and bring it into the premiere pro that is installed in my Windows?

  • Yes, FCP import works on WIndows as well. YOu just need to know what codec you used in FCP. If the video can;t be read , it's the codec. In some cases you need QT Pro.

  • Hi, I have some problems with importing files from FCP to adobe C on windows. I imported with FCP from a 720p HD Camera. I have now HD Quicktime files, but when I try to import those files on adobe premiere cs4 on windows it doesn't work. Something wrong with the codec maybe ? What must I do?

  • Yes, it sounds like a Codec issue. What is the footage from? AJA or Blackmagic card? Apple converted tapeless?

  • I got the program, but damn this is some professional stuff. I think I need a month to get used to this program.

  • F'ing cool! I'm a pc hardcore user, but at work i have to use FC (mac) and until now I had not found a good way to do some editing if needed to the projects in my pc with premiere. Does this FC exportation works the same with Sony Vegas?

Sometimes there are minor things that one program has, that the other lacks. Normally, it makes little difference, but to the individual user, those minor details are important. FCP doesn't have all the things that APP has, and APP lacks some details that FCP has. That why each offers the option to export to the other.

  • Why the fuck U whant to export FCP project to AP? To AF - Ok its great, but AP is nothing better than FCP...

  • when i save any video in a p pro 7 the output video comes all black
