I think it's intentional. This is a mandolin promotional video for Collings. The guitar looks like it is intentionally pushed to the back and less prominent than the mandos.
Martin and Santa Cruz is the way to go. To be Honest, My Blueridge Br 160 Has more Vol. Drive, and more lows then that Collings. If he had A Blueridge BR 160. They would be telling him to lighten up. My Martin HD- 28 Smokes that Collings.
I'm glad I don't own a Collings guitar. That one there has no drive no Vol. Those mandolins just covered him up like a blanket. Just like all the others I here in Bluegrass. They have the same problem. They get covered up, and can't be heard.
