The MA5B is a great little compromise antenna . I have one up now for about 5 years and it will beat any wire hands down . Been a ham for 31 years now and I've had many , many antennas. homebrewed and store bought. Don't be afraid to purchase one of these little gems. I live in a very windy area and they hold their own their too . To sum it up . nice gain , good front to back ratio . good wind loading strength , small footprint and can be turned with a small rotor. that's it !

  • @uromov The G5RV is a great antenna, but it is omnidirectional. The MA5B is a multi element yagi (beam) which can be pointed in anywhere.

  • Well the 5RV is an omnidirectional compared to the ma5b is a yagi that is directional that will pull the signal a lot better

  • 4DB !! Good ma5b

  • Perhaps if the G5RV was at a height of 60 ft, it might work a little better ?

  • you like at the review anythin is gona work better than a wire

  • what is the best g5rv or Ma5b???

  • Very good video.

    Thanks for this comparation.

  • Thanks for the video! I'm interested in buying a MA5B, and this video helped!
