While this may not be the fabled Quad mix that may have never been done back in the 70's, I got my hands on the four-tracks two Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and With a Little Help from my Friends, segued the two together as best I could and here's what Sgt. Pepper COULD have sounded like in the '70s had a Quad mix been done. To be honest, the four tracks are hissy and hap-hazardly laid out. I really don't think a Quad mix were possible with the technology available in the early '70s. If they had tried, it would've been terrible and sold poorly. Abbey Road would've been a much better choice giving it was recorded with eight-tracks.
