"Why are you wearing that?" Roger asked me.
Mrs. Jackson gave us free time while she went to do something for the principal. Honestly I think they're doing something together...if you know what I mean *wink wink*.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"He means you need to go put on a shirt," Jawan said.
"Why?"
"Because we don't want none of them boys lookin at you like you're a piece of meat," Roger said
"No one is looking at me like that," They straight faced me then looked around the class room
"All of them are lookin at you like that. Hey turn yo head around aint nothing to see here," Jawan said to this boy sitting a few seats in front of us. He winked at me and then turned around. I rolled my eyes then looked at Roger and Jawan. They were glaring at that boy then turned to me
"See!" they said in unison
"He's the only one," I said
"No he aint...this nigga right here been starin at you all period," they looked over and I followed their gaze. I saw Daniel looking me up and down, licking his lips. I rolled my eyes in disgust.
"Who cares about him," I said. I saw Daniels head shoot up from the corner of my eye. I looked over to him, "I sure don't," I said then turned back around.
"Shaii you okay?" Roger asked
"Yea I'm good just a lot going on right now,"
"Well you know we're just here to help. We love you," Jawan said
"I know and I love you guys too," I said smiling. They smiled back and then the teacher came in.

~Gets text~ K=Kaylnn...
K: Girl you okay?
S: Yea I'm good
K: Okay now I know that's a lie so what's up?
S: it's a long story I already told Gill I wanted yall to come over later so I could tell you
K: Okay right after school?
S: Imma have to get back to you on the time
K: Alrighty

I looked over to see Daniel still Staring at me. I couldn't make out the expression on his face. He just shook his head and looked down at his paper. It's not my fault he's a douche.

The bell rung and everybody rushed out class. But of course me and Daniel had to stay after. I swear if he gets me in trouble we gon' have a problem. The teacher closed the door and me and Daniel stood at her desk
"So why were we late to class again?" Mrs. J said sitting down at her desk
"I told you...HE was bothering me,"
"I was not bothering her, SHE wouldn't let me explain," he said I glared at him
"There is NOTHING to explain,"
"Yes there is, if you would just listen to me"
"Why so you can call me something else!?"
"I didn't mean to call you that in the first place!" he said raising his voice
"Oh yea sure you didn't,"
"I didn't I was just mad. I mean I was trying to help you and then you go off on me!?
"I didn't need your help," I said quietly.
"You sure about that?" he said. I stayed quiet for a moment...
"Yes I'm sure, I can handle my business; didn't you see what happened in the hallway?" I asked crossing my arms
"Shaii, knocking somebody out doesn't mean you handled your business." He said
"Well it took care of her!" I said

"But what about us?" ...
