I remember camping out for these tickets at the local "Ticketron." Philly has always had a love affair with Genesis. Each tour in the 80's would sell-out three nights at the Spectrum.

The '82 JFK show was my very first concert (I was 16 yo). It was part of the "JFK Jam" series of all day concerts in Philadelphia. Over 100,000 in attendance.
Since then I have seen Genesis 20 times. Great song by one of the best bands in the world.

Oh ok. Now I know this is footage from JFK in Philly (thanks to AndyShriver mentioning this in his comment). Was there, Was There (with my older brother). about maybe 16 yards from the stage. Excellent standing area. All the other posts about this are true; Neat twirling lightShow clusters above the stage, shining down on the band. Everyone has such good memories! I remember while phil was doing his speal..Chester Grinning..Tony like 'I mean come on, its only suppers ready..!'...n Action

It amazes me how ignorant and rude some audiences are. All that screaming and interrupting. Phil was clearly saying "it has many loud bits and QUIET BITS" for a reason! I realize the crowd loves them and is excited. But what are these dummies, 5 years old? Just LISTEN and applaud or cheer at appropriate times / the end of the tune.

I absolutely love this. I wish someone had more film footage of this concert. Listening to this song again in this video makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck (just like that night).
I was the happiest person on earth when they broke into this song. God if only I had a time capsule. :)
