  • I would like to see documentation that this dog was actually a pure bred "Bull Mastiff" because I suspect this dog was not a pure bred dog. Anyone who knows anything about dogs know ANY dog has the potential to be dangerous. Bull Mastiffs were developed in the 1800s as dogs for estate games keepers. They were referred to as the "Game Keeper's Night Watch" and developed to NOT MAUL just hold a poacher at bay until the game keeper arrived. The dog that attacked was probably a bully mix.

  • @ForensicRN2000 Of course....it COULDN'T have been a purebred. It just HAD to be mixed with something. That's the ONLY explanation.

  • you must hate dogs i am sorry but my mom and dad owns a rat terrier and I have 3 pit bulls and I would rather have them then a rat terrier. Do you know that a rat terrier and more smaller breed of dogs are on the head of the list of the most to bit then a pit bull. its people like you and the news that gets these dogs out lawed in towns and cities when it really the people the train and raise them wrong that are at to blame not these dogs. Read up on these breeds before you say anything.

  • @jimjetearl1 He was protective of her as she was a surrogate mother to him when we brought him home as a puppy. The little girl bent down to pet the Daschhound and the mastiff bit her. One bite as a warning. He immediately released but the damage was done the little girl had 6 holes in her neck from the one bite. After that i have learned o always leash my mastiffs when around other people or kennel them when others are in my home.

  • I am the owner and have been the owner of several different mastiff breeds. I have a to say that mastiffs can be very protective. I had to have one put down because it did not give any warning growl or bark it just gave a warning bite. Once to a poodle and once to a little Girl in my home. Yes mastiffs can be gentle giants. They are also fearsome fighters and protectors. many times owners such as myself do not know what trigers th efearsom fighter until its to late For Ours it was our Daschound

  • @Harmonlisa Keep being naive.

  • @halo3hello

    Keep telling yourself that .

  • @dennismdeaverjr

That is very true but are you worried about being attacked by a poodle or other small dog?

  • All I know is that if it was my daughter, the dog owner would also be in the hospital or morgue.
