After this train I heard, on my scanner, someone say "Uh it's a maroon (actually red) SUV, male, long hair. I walked to the truck and closed the door, looked in the rear view mirror and see U.P.R.R. hit the lights.

No ticket, no arrest, no harassment, no warning. The conductor / engineer called in though they said I was far away from the tracks. The officer took my information and that was that, my first experience with R.R. Police.

Agree, crossing bells etc usually ruin a shot.

Don't know about other RR police agencies, but CN and CP Police in Canada seldom over-exercise authority in cases like yours, never mind abusing it.

Crews I can understand because they train them to spot trespassers but that's why I always carry a scanner when I'm going to non-fan geared places because they are proactive about it.
