Some people just don't intellectually get it. They hear a string of notes played as fast as humanly possible, all treble/no bass, and can't think of it as music. It either sounds like dicking around or people just putting together exercises into songs. What they don't realize is what sounds random is actually fully composed, if statements from these bands are to be believed. Which, think of what a massive undertaking that must be. These bands can do over 100,000 notes per album easy

Geeeezzz I can write something about as complex (structurally) that I'm able to play with my current guitar abilities (which are way lower than Mick's!) but after the piece gets to be around 15 seconds long I can't remember what I'm playing. It's so impressive how he writes stuff that's MUCH more difficult to play, and much longer, and he can remember it all. I wish I could play at his level, but I guess my first aspiration should be to get better at memorizing : )

@deluge71 its taken me more than a few listens haha. I would absolutely love to see it live though because i think it would be a thousand times better
