ABOUT THE MOVIE
Rise of the Planet of the Apes (originally titled Caesar and Rise of the Apes) is an upcoming 2011 American science fiction film. The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt. It is a reboot of the Planet of the Apes series that will act as a foundation with an origin story for a new film series. Its premise is similar to Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, the fourth film in the original series, but it is not a direct remake in that it does not fit into that series' continuity.

PLOT
Will Rodman (James Franco), currently residing in San Francisco, is working on a cure for Alzheimer's by performing tests on apes. The first test subject is Caesar. This "cure" genetically modifies his way of thinking to create a new breed of ape with human-like intelligence. Caesar learns well, but human authority continues to test him and contain him. He eventually proves smart enough to break free from his cage and release the cure among other apes, affecting other apes like Caesar. Millions of apes begin to rally up a revolution. Soon, war breaks out between humans and apes. Rodman may be the only one able to stop them before the ape revolution succeeds in them becoming the dominant species on the planet.

  • Did that guy seriously just see Caesar organizing the apes, and then just ignore it. Thats definately something for "How It Should've Ended"

  • I don't care what anyone says. This is the best film ever made and Caesar is hot. (the chimpanzee, not the actor)

  • @ForeverCrystals450 Thank you! I agree caesar is totally hot and epic i got goosebumps watching it :D

  • I haven't seen the movie but is there any reason given why the apes are so much larger then they are in real life? Or are we just suppose to ignore that part? Chimpanzees are smaller then people, but in this they're about the same size, and that the apes seem to have thicker musculature.

  • You can totally see Andy Serkis in the face of Caesar. Which isn't a bad thing, I think that it shows the originality of the apes!

  • @Jayman493

They say that if you take away speech and the human way of life, chimps are actually smarter than humans.

  • @ForeverCrystals450 i kinda look like him!

  • @nonlethalbychoice Wow. that was uuuhh... that seems like a very lazy way of developing A.I.

    Good point.

  • @animatorFan74 I know which part in the movie took place where dude. I am just @#$%ing saying that it was kinda funny how he just ignored the chimps when he saw they were organized.

What part of this are you people not getting.

  • @Jayman493

Reminds me of when you shoot out a lightbulb infront of someone in splinter cell and 15 seconds later the watchman is like "........Must have been a shadow."
