  • I am wondering why you have made an internal tincture with a plant that is used topically? Jewel weed works on the skin, made in a salve or an oil. It has no use taken internally as a tincture. Othrwise your video is good, just use 100 proof vodka, no need to add water as it is already 50%water and 50% alcohol. that was an interesting suggestion by the author of that book...Green Blessings

  • @ListeningWhispers I don't believe I said it was for internal use. I only use my Jewelweed tincture in my soaps, salves and sprays.

  • If we are under 18 can we drink tinctures? If not is there a substitute we can use for the alcohol?

  • @LOKKAWAII , this video is intended to show someone how to make a tincture for their own home use, not to be sold. If want to make a tincture without alcohol you would use cider vinegar but the tincture will not have as long of a shelf-life as the alcohol tinctures do. Hope this answers your question.

  • Why do some people say 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, or even 12 weeks?

How do we know how long?

I'm making stephania root, red root, and eleutherococcus?

I was going to let them sit for 4 weeks
