Marlin 1894S 44 Mag Trapper Talo Edition

A short video of my new Marlin 1894S lever action rifle. This is the Talo "Trapper" limited edition which has a 16.25" barrel. It has a straight stock, micro-groove barrel and is chambered for .44 Special or .44 magnum loads. It has an 8 shot magazine. In the video I said it had 6.

I plan on replacing the stock buckhorn sights with a set of ghost ring peep sights from Skinner Sights. I might also add an XS Lever Rail like the one I have on my 336. I have a 2X pistol scope mounted on my 336 which so far has been great offhand at about 50 yards.

Whats the twist rate on it? I know 44 mags in handguns recoil a lot, does it kick at all? By the way, very nice gun, going to be getting me a 336c in 30-30 soon

@SuperBuddy48 Less recoil than a .30-30. Maybe what you'd get out of low brass 2 3/4: 20 gauge shells.

God i love marlin lever actions, i regret selling my 1895G every day despite that it had a cracked stock and i need the room in my safe.

Nice video - I just bought this same gun used. It came in on a trade and the guy only shot about 6 rounds through it. Can't wait to pick it up!!!

Very nice...I am picking up my winchester wrangler 44 mag this week...
