So, this is the gay version of "the Magical Negro Friend," eh? (Think "The Legend of Bagger Vance," "The Green Mile," and "Ghost") In which a wonderfully insightful magical/charming person of color (in this case, "person of a different sexual orientation), helps the white/heterosexual protagonist find themselves/find love. As you can see, the person of color/a different sexuality will not be allowed a love story of their own in such films. Pathetic.
