Salford Quays is an area of Salford in Greater Manchester, England, near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal. Previously the site of Manchester Docks, it became one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in the United Kingdom following the closure of the dockyards in 1982. Some areas are still under construction today however this does not detract from the splendour of the buildings which have been completed. It houses the Lowry theatre, the Imperial War Museum (north) and is now the new regional centre for the BBC at Media City. Stills taken with the Panasonic FZ100 in iA 16:9 10M mode with adjustments to EV where necessary. Video in 720p, project rendered to 720p in edius 5.22 and uploaded as wmv 8Mbps.

  • Very nice videos with the FZ100. I have an interest as I have just bought this camera!

Normally I like a pocket size compact, but I have a desire for better quality and zoom, so FZ100 would seem a good choice! Digesting instructions at moment, but I feel a camera testing weekend coming up!

I like the choice of aspects as I always thought digital 4:3 seemed a backward step from 35mm 3:2.
