@lafollet1 It is possible that it is still leaking around the plug. Did you pump the tire up afterwards and spray soapy water around the plugged area? There may even be another area where it is leaking also.

don't you us rubber cement ? p.s. the hiss is probably a Cicada bug vary loud 90 to 105 decibel s

@maddhamster1 The plugs are already covered in an adhesive, but can can apply rubber cement if you wanted to for a better sea.
And yep, that's a Cicada in the background.
