SPD Del Paso Heights-Natomas Pursuit

Officers respond to check on a driver passed out or sleeping in his vehicle, at a stop sign. At the scene, officers found the driver in the vehicle and observed objective signs of DUI. The suspect fled in his vehicle and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit went through the north area and onto E/B Hwy 80. At the Raley Blvd off ramp, the suspect tried to exit and crashed into a drainage canal. The suspect, Steven Richardson, 40, was arrested for DUI.
