Osteoporosis is often called a silent disease because there are no symptoms but it can lead to very real problems. Millions of women have osteoporosis or something that can lead to it -- low bone mass. Now, there's an easy way to see if you're at risk.

  • @grettagrids The average age of menopause is 51. Without knowing all the details I would tell you that you have premature menopause. 1/1000 women between 20-29 & 1/100 30-39 will go through early menopause. My guess is that your bone loss & history of fractures is related, but there are other causes of osteoporosis that may influence fracture risk. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. You may need a workup of why you went into menopause so early.

    Good Luck, Dr. Cote
