This detector detects small signals. This was created using five C829 transistors with darlington method to get hgh gain. This detector is specially used for detect current on a wire without touching the wire, if you are using this to detect wire current, use three transistors instead of 5.

  • can you construct a rf detector i will be interested to purchase from you

  • @sbatrouney

sure, we are working on it.

  • Awesome stuff mate. I am in the process of building a RF detector myself. I am using a LED bar graph display to indicate the levels of RF detection. Also I am using a micro Amp meter as an alternative display method. Would you mind sharing the schematics with us? That would be appreciated. Cheers

  • @Drobnjak1

Sure, can you give me your E-MaIl address ?

  • @h2d6

I received your schematics, thank you again. However, a few things that (to me at least) do not make sense about this RF detector.

1stly, you do not have an RF detector diode at all.

2ndly, you have four transistors in Darlington setup without any biasing at all.

3rdly, you somehow have managed to amplify a signal of at least 900Mhz even though at the end of your last (fourth) transistor your bandwidth would have been no better than 1Mhz

  • @Drobnjak1

sure you have made a mistake. this is not an hf rf detecter. no need to filt carrier wave

or anything. just showing the performance of four transisters connected in classical darlington.if you are considering something like a rf detector or field

strength moniter, you better use high frequency tansister or suitable i.c. (ive made a one for vhf range) . this unit will also work for 27mhz amt freq:.use two in4148 in duo directions at first amplification stage in BE junction. simple..

  • hi there, i like your project.. im a teacher in electronics and i want to motivate my students on how electronics can be amazing.. can you please send me the schematic diagram for this? thanks in advance... hope to see more amazing stuff from you... ryaj0986@gmail.com

  • hey, genius plz send me the necessary details to my email id.what thinks are required , circuit diagram, etc.send all the details to my id laxmanp1110@yahoo.in thanks

  • good work

Sir,can i have the schematics of this circuit,i m urgent need ...plzzzz.....

    my id is

  • @h2d6 Can I get the schematics ? I am in urgent need for it..thanks..my e-mail ID is chintanvarma@gmail.com

  • what singnals is it detecting i made on with three transistors and it lights when its by a tv im prety sure its static for three transistors
