Recently on a trip to England, I visited Curdworth, used to know it well back in the 60/70s. Couldn't believe how much it has changed-gone all the farms & fields. Now housing estates, M42 & Toll Rd. I remember it as B'hams best kept secret. That turn off the busy Kingsbury Rd & you were in the loveliest of villages; like something out of the Archers-beautiful old buildings, cottages,pub & church. Why I'd expected it to be still the same I don't know-everywhere you go progress has its stamp.
