McCoy Tyner - piano; Avery Sharpe - bass; Aaron Scott - drums. Filmed this during rehearsal at Montreux - Problems with the bridge! Needless to say it was played flawlessly on the night. One of my favorite pianists
my pops took me to see Mcoy tyner when I was 6, the same year I met Pete seeger and Arlo Guthrie after a show in Chi Town. thanks pops and uncle larry!!
Such a privilege to see musicians working out how to play. This is nice, and it is great to hear it coming into such good shape. Thanks for making it available. McCoy drops chords in there like different coloured ice cubes. What a stimulating accompanist, and a fascinating band. I suppose there is quartal harmony going on here, but I would love to learn more from someone who knows.

Tyner...consummate artist with impeccable taste and ungodly swing.

His solo of this song on Coltranes original LP is still my favorite piano solo.
