Acromioclavicular dislocations and fractures of the outer end of the clavicle are common injuries in contact sport. These injuries can be repaired using open surgical procedures which sometimes may need a second procedure to remove the fixation device.
Arthroscopic fixation using the Arthrex "Tightrope" has a better scar and can be performed as a day case procedure. This narrated video shows this arthroscopic technique of dealing with such injuries.
