  • we use a old 6030 jd to pull the disk and culti-packer it does not smoke any where near this much we have no duals because the disk is not the wide not trying to be smart but you are doing a terrible job planting you missed some ground and the beans wont grow good there do you pack spread seed then pack?

  • @brian93ist No, when you plant a soy bean crop. The beans need to be packed. This is because soy beans grow with very low to the ground pod. Yes soy beans can be tall, but packing the beans helps you get more bean pods when harvesting. When you clip the beans using a flex head. Packing the beans help soil ridges from seeding and stones from getting in the conbine. Packing a crop on dry years can also help hold moisture in the ground, so seeds can properly germinate.

  • we have a 950 jd cultipacked and a taylor way disk i have videos what do you disk with?

  • @brian93ist We have a Kiwani offset disk. We use to have that very same culti-pack about 12 years ago. We use to pull it behind the cultivator.

  • any one ever ran a 806 gas ???how they run

  • Yes the 806 series sure did. The 806 gas had a very nice smoth sound. The 806 gas had the inline 6 engine aswell. There were even some 806's that could be converted or ran on propane!

  • THERE IS A 1944 MCCORMICK DEERING ON EBEY.COM 4 SALE TILL 2/13/12

  • What size tires are you running on the front and rear? Looking to restore an 806 and like what you have.

  • @youthunter thats not why that 806 is smoking. That was the way they were factory. I've run 4 different 806s and a 1206 and they all just smoked. Alot of the time they have the fuel pumped turned up good to.

  • @brian93ist it not because of something bad with hp or nuthing its bad injectors he has to clean them then the smoke will go away, btw when he skips suff like that they will grow if not a little better

  • soy beans. That tractor is kick azz! Yea, I liike IH.!

  • @farmall3952 The Deere wouldn't smoke because its like 90hp larger than than 806IH come on 6030JD to a 806???? More smoke less balls!!!!

  • It smokes because it is a naturally aspirated diesel. A turbo charged diesel would not smoke nearly as much. A newer model like a 66 series barely smoked at all in stock form. That was the DT series engine that is still used today in mid-range trucks. Great engines.

And don't kid yourselves, there are plenty of all makes of tractors from the 50's, 60's and 70's out there earning their keep in the fields. Why slam a particular color.

  • All diesels in the 50's-60's smoked like hell when loaded. No one manufacturer was better than the other. If you claim that your 20Series JD doesn't smoke under a load, it means your pump is weak and it's fuel starved. It says something when you see a lot more IH 966-1486 still doing fieldwork while the 20 series JD's have been reduced to farmyard service.

  • MORONS THAT DONT KNOW WHY IT SMOKES, IT IS A DIESEL MOTOR. THEY ALL SMOKE WHEN THE FUEL IS BURNED.
