Hope to see this guy in a winged helmet soon. I see a lot of Jake Long in him. Loved to see him bullying that D-Lineman early in the tape. Best of luck to him in college (in Michigan).

I think he sees the opportunity to be with a dominant O-line, and it's definitely UM, more the U though, He's already said he wants to be closer to home, and knows that with the studs we have brought in HE can make them a dominant line. Hope he does stay in Miami, if he was going to go to Stanford, he will help us win another National Title, like last year. Miami had the highest graduation rate of any D1 school, and was rated #1 for scholastic athletes

Of course it would be nice to get a lot of the kids in Miami's backyard - I never said they shouldn't get kids from there. I said, Miami gets who they get and they don't NEED to get them all, b/c ALL of them wouldn't be able to GET and STAY at Miami. Guess who else isn't from Miami's backyard - Ed Reed, Clinton Portis, Jeremy Shockey, DJ Williams, Ray Lewis, Reggie Wayne, Warren Sapp, Russell Maryland, Cortez Kennedy, Brandon Meriweather, Lamar Thomas, Horace Copeland, Jessie Armstead, etc.

Miami gets who they get, just b/c a kid is in their backyard doesn't mean they NEED to get him - there's more to it than that. Ya, their backyard is overflowing with talent, but that doesn't mean that talent is what Miami wants or who they think can even get into the school or fit into what they're trying to achieve. If a kid goes somewhere else, there are usually a lot of factors that no one outside of Shannon, Hurtt, Barrow, etc. know about. They've done a good job so far with their classes.
