Sony Vaio X, Vaio Z and Windows7 review

I have used a Sony Vaio X and a Sony Vaio Z running Windows 7 for more than a month now and I have to say I love them. There is very little missing from my previous MacBook Pro, I miss imovie and the quality of the internal speakers in both X and Z are disappointing compared to what you get in an iPad or a Mac. Apart from these two points, they are amazing PCs.

there is simply NOTHING out there can beat Z, both design and performance. Mac is quirky and fun for kids, but PC is for serious business man. there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with windows, ppl just talk out of their ass and they like to bad mouth MS that's all.

Mac are too boring, they look ALL THE SAME, heavy, overheat like the SUN, keyboard is a VAIO ripped off yet cannot compete with SONY, the screen quality is not on the same level witih VAIO then again, SONY makes the best screens.

@realcuteguyyayiyayi i agree, ive tried both windows and mac for a long time, at first when i moved from windows to mac i thougt i wasted a lifetime on windows but, once you get to know both sistems you can really see that there is no big difference between them, there is not big windows fail or something, in fact im buying one of those vaio Z because im moving to windows again :)

@whyrate haha, well i guess it's kinda hard to take on the new Z if you are so used to the last 2 gens of Z, but I do love the new Z regardless, love the cleverness, the design, the quality, and finally getting rid of touch pad buttons, the only thing that I like about Apple is their mackbook's touch pad, double click and two fingers scrolling FTW, hope SONY learned something from it. the idea of the new Z would work very well for a lot of ppl, and i can't wait to get mine later this month! :)

@realcuteguyyayiyayi I own the older Z series and I just brought the new S series, I agree with you 150% but for some stupid reason the new Z series has no DVD rom its now external which has honestly almost turned me off buying it!

Wow! Sony loses to Apple when it comes to speakers and sound? Sony has been in the audio/video business for years so losing to Apple on that aspect is a suprise and disappointing indeed.

So the X is a netbook while the Z a skinny full-fledged laptop. So can I use the Z for a desktop replacement by attaching it to a big monitor?

i know wat ur saying, but really, dont watch those stupid reviews done by poor ppl who have no idea of high end products. There is nothing out there can be compared to the Z or high end Vaio for that matter, how can they use price as an indicator?

tell me which computer is MADE IN JAPAN? that alone is worth however extra money SONY is charging, then Xbrit LED screen is in its own league, Carbon fiber etc. Like I said, it's stupid to even compare Z to other computers, YOU simply just buy it.

The Z is evidently The best out there , but the price is the reason why it isn't the best buy , I know U get what you pay for But in a t3 review , the reason why it was 1 star short of five . But compared to Apple , it's performance is better . And The not so worthy ones are ones like acer or even apple , that are getting all the hubbub because they are less pricier but almost as good as Z . Bt I'll grab a Z if there's a sale 4 sure !

@hourei28 I don't know how price would put Z behind any other computers. it's like saying a Pagani Zonda is behind Honda becuz they usually 30 times more expensive. When the Z is the best, then price really shouldn't be considered. you get what you pay for, if it's not on the same price level, then they "not so worthy" computers should NOT even be mentioned when comparing to Z, eh!?
