What a Great Great lady...

One can already see that she was neomg affected by her illness here, looking gaunt and thin. A shame, for sure. Loved the character she played in 'Designing Women', even when I found out that she was the antithesis of the Julia Sugarbaker part, not a liberal but a conservative. Also saw her in 'Master Class' shortly before it closed after Zoe Caldwell and Patti Lupone left and she really was remarkable playing Maria Callas. A talented women, indeed, and missed. Lost her at too young an age. RIP

@brejacks Who gave you permission to address me? Now off you go before someone throws a house on you too!

And you conservatives are any better, you hypocritical self rightious bastard! I am a liberal yet I admire Dixie Carter, I may not agree with everything but I do agree with things going too fast these days. Dixie Carter seems more moderate republican to me, thank god! For a republican she is very open minded and I admire her for that as well.

So glad you uploaded this gem, Houston PBS. When I hear the term "southern belle", I think of Dixie Carter. Just a beautiful, kind southern lady. She is really missed. Someday when passing through TN, I would like to place some magnolias at her grave. I wish she was still here giving us great performances.
What a beautiful and charming woman she was. RIP Dixie Carter
