Brought to you by http://www.redlinemma.com/ . A quick and simple way to take down your opponent. Whether you are looking to compete in wrestling, Bjj, or MMA, a solid double leg takedown is important. Having the ability to take your opponent down not only gives you the ability to control your opponent on the ground, it allows you to be better prepared for the fight. You can choose to stand and strike or take the fight to the ground for a finish.

  • @ricyorb That's exactly what happened to me.

  • @ricyorb if you keep your head high and near his armpit, its impossible to get caught

  • I thought the head was supposed to be sunked into the other guys belly because if you place it on the side like in this video you are prone to get guillotine choked. Can anyone clarify this?

  • @Mabimanta Yes and no. If the person getting taken down can keep him in his guard and get an arm under his neck, yes. But if the person executing the takedown can get into half-guard or side control, it'd be very hard to be finished.

  • otherwise known as the Turkish Turn

    great technique, very under-utilized

  • isnt that reversiable with a guillotine choke ?

  • Ohhh look its the white guy taking down the black guy...

  • i agree

  • thanks, this helped me with my doubles.

  • Probably won't work on an experienced wrestler. But this is definitely a good takedown after lots of practice.
