I just don't understand why Fawkes (If you have him, which is likely) who is completely immune to radiation didn't go in himself. (>_<)

You can't really say anyone is "evil" or "good" in Fallouts world. For some people in the game (like raiders) that is the only life they've ever known and it's all about survival. Just like in the animal kingdom. Clearly, to us Dad seems to be as good as it gets. And maybe the Lone Wanderer does know right from wrong. But for other Wasteland inhabitants, good and bad does not exist. It's all about survival, not friends. So you can't really say they're bad or good.

After Broken Steel, you could send Fawks to do the job. Alternatively, even if you volunteered, you survived.
