A student film by members of the USC School of Social Work chronicles the experiences of 15 students who traveled to Bejing China for a two week Summer Immersion Program in 2009 focusing on elder care. Students visited parks designed for the elderly and spoke with professors and doctors. Interviews with students, USC faculty, and professors in China cover the changing dynamics in Chinese elder care in the context of the One Child Policy, differences between elder care in the United States and China, and the quest to promote cross-cultural learning in health and elder care.
