We needed this a long time ago. A space colony will allow our race to prosper, not stagnate. Look at the overpopulation issue. Those people could be out in space, making more homes and jobs for more people. Humans are meant to expand, but now we have nowhere left to go other than space.

Politicians, corporations and union leaders, globalists, etc... These guys are keeping us from achieving this sort of thing. They waste all of our money and have us borrow trillions, and then they influence us into getting into dumb wars abroad and wars at home (war on drugs? It's a health issue, not a crime issue). Just think, all that potential. Gone.

People were so hopeful after the Apollo program. Sure, these projects would have been POSSIBLE, but did they actually think this was economically feasible?

very forward thinking- will there be animals and rain? vehicles using petrol? one must also consider who is going to be "of value" living on this colony. the rich and powerful need people to do work for them because they won't want to work, therefore making a two class system......oh man here we go again! very nice idea though, it would be easier to acknowledge alien contact and be their guests on their planet and prove that you are respectful of your new habitat. they will test your virtues.
