Not completely true. Brian only really stopped singing leads from 1970-1973, but still played piano and sang occasional background vocals. Here he sings the "I hear the sound of a" and the "when I look" lyrics in the verses of the studio version and then it switches back to Carl. The Beach Boys were masters at that type of deception. Listen to "I Know There's an Answer", most would think it's one vocalist, but in the first three lines, Mike, Al and Brian all share lead in that order.

i'm french so> a l'epoque des bonnes vibrations c'est exact tout vibrait dans le bon sens , puis cette espece de damnation enfin nous les gens qui avaient vibrés on s'est tous cramés les neurones a coup d'acides de pcp d'amphetes de cocaine d'heroine !!! l'exces , tout est bon que dans l'exces , sinon comment saisir la substance de chaque chose meme si il y a ce putain de revers , , le top puis l'enfer des fous ,certains en sont revenus BRIAN QQ lumieres , ça brulent les bonnnes vibrations !
