  • My partner was diagnosed with a brain disease and passed way within 6 weeks. That was alittle over two years ago, and now I am raising our teenage son alone. I still think of him everyday, but at least I am not crying everyday like I was. If it were not for my son, I would have taken a shovel to the cemetery and dug a hole next to him and just threw myself down....Thank God for my son. I can't imagine ever loving someone that much. When you lose your soulmate you are changed forever.

  • "it does get better" lol..you said that right....we know what that means. you just have to become numb at times, go on with life, find a new happiness. my husband died eleven years ago, and i still play this song. Music helps heal your heart. Bless you all who find comfort in this song, You are not alone.

  • Hey everyone id love you all to check my video out! I'm only 14 and and just starting to get my music out:) look it up under my screen name. Ashleybaby379.

  • i get teary eveytime i listen to this song

  • @kieth64 I lost my partner of 14 years to cancer, six years ago this Febuary 14th, He was my soulmate so I know that pain, I'm happy that you have your son to see you through this. it's an excruciating pain that can't be soothed. I think of him everyday and dream of him often and each time I wake up expecting to feel his warmth in bed with me.

  • I miss when country artists made songs like this. I don't listen to country anymore, because it's just a bunch of lame party songs. At least pop songs have interesting beats. :/ I miss songs like this, "Whisky Lullaby," "Concrete Angel," and all those kinds of songs.

  • Great talent who has fallen off the map .

  • @maineman89 so sad. :( I am also in the process of losing a child, but I never met her yet... it is not the same, I know... but I know some of the pain you know. losing someone is never easy.

Too many loved ones 'left so fast'. My mom died when I was 4. I was young... but I will never get over this. and now, my mom is holding my baby girl. Our babies time on earth was served. whatever their mission in life was, is finished. They don't have to suffer the burden of life. They're in heaven now.

  • wow. this song always gets me.... i think anyone who has lost someone close to them can relate to this song. lots of love lost and gone forever.
