No one is like Pavarotti, his voice was so beautiful and had such a particular colour I can hardly find anyone else that moves me so much. Rest in peace Luciano :(

Non ho mai trovato Luciano Pavarotti un Nemorino esemplare. Troppo concentrato su se stesso per rappresentare quel personaggio... Non perché non sia bravissimo. Ma sentite Gigli, che è altrettanto bravo. Lui diventa Nemorino. Mica Beniamino!...

None of the arias seem to be difficult when Pavarotti sings them. Only he makes them easy to sing and easy to hear. Because he was a GREAT master. Grazie, Luciano!

This is a time when Luciano started to move toward heavier roles.
While retaining many features of his liquid singing, there was one thing that did happen and that is he started opening a bit too much on the Aaaah vowel (Quanto sounds very open)as opposed to some more covering as heard on the complete DECCA recording.
