Lord Byron had a nightmare, and he wrote about it.
This is very dark (hence the name) and rather apocalyptic, so if you're having a down day, you might want to opt for an Eddie Izzard video instead.

I read Byron had seizures. He fell into the darkness and was reborn from it. To fall into the abyss and wake as we all hope to awake after the sleep of death.

I first thought this poem was about mocking primitive people's reactions to a solar eclipse. Turn's out it's just a dark poem. At least it's good.
