@soaper1 You are an idiot, your pretty sure is wrong. Stop guessing you dont know what your talking about. Please go open carry in california
-
@soaper1 While New York state "allows" guns, there are lots of restrictions, especially when you get into New York City. It's nearly impossible to get a carry permit for the city. Also interesting, I lived upstate for a while and when I went to file for my pistol permit it seemed to indicate that the permit allowed ownership only, and that you had to be special to get a concealed carry permit, and super special to get open carry privileges. I guess cause guns freak people out...

@jimbo45cal While this flashlight may not actually do anything against a gun, if properly used it will completely disorient and blind them, making their chances of hitting you much lower. I would believe this if I didn't own one and try it on myself one night just so I would have an idea of its potential. Not Ideal, but better than nothing. Then again, nothing is ideal when someone points a gun at you.

@jimbo45cal Also, you should look up something called the Second Amendment, this should help clarify your comment.

@jimbo45cal I'm pretty sure that all 50 states allow open carry, this is because it is our constitutional right to carry a weapon for self defense, hunting, and other needs. It is illegal for a felon to carry a gun, in that cases even hold any type of gun. What i believe that you were mistaken about was about CONCEALED carry. This is when someone conceals a gun on their person that cannot be seen by others, for example inside a jacket. In most states you have to have a permit to conceal carry.

If you look around for deals, you can get them around $1 per battery or less. Generally it requires you to buy them in bulk packs of around 40-50

21 for 12 is a good deal actually. Just with my house phone not a cool light I have to pay around 13 dollars for one battery. Vtech slim.

Accurate demo. The beam is not quite as sealed as my triggered LED spot. They both light up the back side of my garden, some 200 yards or more. I've had my E2D well over a year until Wed, May 18, 2011 when it was stolen while a new battery was being installed in my pickup at Walmart. Of course, they opt out with a no-responsibilty sign for the sleaze they hire. I simply forgot to take it out. The battery was $70 cheaper than my Defender. I'll have to treat everyone as if they're thieves, :-(

What LED brand and model is in this flashlight ?

Nice vid.
Hey dude, I'm from Brooklyn as well and I can never leave my house without a self defense weapon. Currently I'm carrying just pocket knives, but I'm also interested in substituting that with a Surefire defender. I'm just curious if any stores in NYC stock them. Where did you get yours? Either I'm picking this up online or going to SoHo @ the IceBerg Army Surplus store.

@HellGuard99
I would honestly buy it online, i bought both of mine through ebay. Local stores tend to be overpriced and you have to pay tax, if you buy online you dont.

Sure Fire now sells the E2D LED defender at 200 lumens...
** just be sure that when you order it you're getting that one. the 120 is the same price as the 200 lumens.
