EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the fastest growing serious disease... even more than AIDS. People are dying from this every day and the medical community looks the other way. I know, I am a sufferer of this disease myself. It's taken away everything I had.... I'm only in my early 20's.

See my personal profile for my Lyme history. But still wondering: Disseminated Borrelia (chronic Lyme) or antibiotic (doxy/cefuroxime; crossing blood brain barrier; possibly sending neuro-toxins deep into brain) induced lupus [AKA "Post-Lyme disease syndrome"]? If former, IV ceftriaxone indicated; latter, corticosteroids. Yet neither offered in six years of increasingly debilitating disease.

It seemed that Daryl Hall was scheduled to sing the national anthem in game five of the 2008 World Series (with John Oates) but cancelled due to illness. Couldn't find more detail and wondered if it was due to his Lyme disease. He had good quotes in a June 2008 newspaper article about the disease (that shows up when googling his name with Lyme disease). I've had Lyme since 2002; more deatil here on my personal profile. Definitely agree about the conflicting information available to the public.

People who have actually beaten lyme can tell you how to do it for yourself. Search 'chronic lyme success story' on youtube and listen.. If the medical field hasn't cured you, then maybe you should look at what is working. You've got to keep looking till you find your answer.

Thanks for posting this. I missed this interview and Daryl Hall is my favorite. Hope he successfully conquers this disease soon to go on to produce more songs and sing those which we all love.
