The Democratic Platform removed any reference to God and a reference to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel making people wonder why the platform had abandoned these formerly held values. Once it was learned that the platform had left these essential things out there was fallout and it was put to a vote. Is it because they support homosexual marriage and abortion that they were uncomfortable invoking God? Why would they not use the old language from the previous convention to support our friend Israel and their capital to be Jerusalem? Was the amendment to reverse course back to the previous conventions values embraced by the Democratic Convention? Watch and decide. In fairness to the Democrats I do not know if it was the Arab versus Israel issue or the lack of the mention of God or both that caused the split in the party. For bible believing Christians like myself the two go hand in hand.
